30 years' experience at global branding and retail agencies, creatively directing brand programmes and creative work that connects with people. Prior to working at Clear he founded and led HuntHaggarty and was a Creative Director at Brand Union and Fitch. In his career he has worked with some of the world's leading brands which include Coca-Cola, Unilever, Google, Motorola, Levis, Under Armour and adidas.

As Group Creative Director of Clear Stephen has responsibility for all of the creative output for the business, both internally and externally.

A DBA award winning designer qualified in environmental design, he has an appetite to find the strange and unusual in people, places and customs that can drive new thinking in the creative and innovation industries. Stephen is happiest when listening and learning from anyone who has an interesting point of view and recognises that a powerful idea can come from anyone at anytime and from the most unlikeliest of places. 'China's Creative Voice - A Brave New Youth Culture', a HuntHaggarty publication, placed that thinking at the centre of his business and drove the internal culture.

At his best when working with intelligence, quality of thinking and drive. Keen to teach and collaborate as much as he is to learn and explore.


'I'm judging the awards this year because I'm keen to see what design is doing to redress the balance in a world that is continuing to throw up new challenges, problems and frustrations. Creativity has always been a skill or a tool to overcome difficult situations, conflicts, unrest and brings happiness, optimism and positivity to the heart of the matter. In my capacity as Creative Director at Clear I am always looking for the insight that helps us understand and eventually overcome problems. I'm looking forward to getting to the real insights that lie behind this years work.'
